I’m so excited for you to meet my new associate, Amanda!
WHAT’S AN ASSOCIATE?
I’m thrilled that my long time friend and collaborator Amanda has made JDP a team! I wish I could be multiple places at once, but since I can’t, Amanda is going to fill in some of those gaps. Couples who choose to work with my associate will do most of the administrative stuff like emails and contracts with me, then Amanda will take over communication shortly before your wedding day. She’ll be the one to photograph your day, and I’ll edit and deliver your files.
Amanda first started photographing weddings as my second shooter way back in 2010, and I just adore her presence on a wedding day. Often times when I cull weddings we have photographed together, I can’t even tell who took which photos. Needless to say, our styles and approaches are pretty aligned, and you’ll be in great hands with her.

Hi, I’m Amanda! I live in Grand Rapids, MI in an old house with my sister and dog, Louie. Over the years I have learned to love living simply. When I’m not shooting weddings, I’m working on my garden in the backyard, going for my daily walk, cooking, shopping estate sales & swimming in Lake Michigan.
My approach:
I am naturally a quiet observer. I love people watching and taking it all in. Which is where weddings come in. Weddings are the perfect place to people watch. I am constantly waiting and watching for moments to happen. Most of the time they’re moments you don’t even realize are happening.
